In Central New York during the late 1970s and 80s, the bar and music scene had a rhythm of its own. Wherever you went—any night of the week, any neighborhood spot—you’d eventually run into Jeff the Neck. Some people were fixtures of the era, and Jeff was one of them.

This site is dedicated to the memory of those years, and to what it felt like to live in Central New York when the music was loud, the nights ran late, and every place had a story worth remembering.

Take a look through our offerings and see what speaks to you. We’re always adding new items, so check back often.

If you’ve got stories of your own—or photos from those days—we’d love to see them. Leave us a message and help keep the memories alive.

Peace to all.
